Valeria Dieci holds a PhD in Humanities (Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, 2024). She is currently a research fellow in Roman History at the Department of Historical Studies of the University of Milan. She is a member of the PRIN 2022 project Social Envy: Competition, Rivalry, Ambitions (1st century BCE – 3rd century CE). Her research focuses on Republican Roman history from the 3rd to the 1st century BCE and the early Imperial period, with particular attention to gentilician dynamics and forms of representation, especially in the field of onomastics.
