Fabrizia Bandi is an Assistant Professor (RTT) in Aesthetics at the Department of Historical Studies of the Università degli Studi di Milano. Her research focuses on phenomenology and aesthetics, with particular attention to the phenomenology of aesthetic experience and to the aesthetics of architecture and art. She was a member of the ERC Advanced Grant project An-Iconology. History, Theory, and Practices of Environmental Images (University of Milan, 2020–2025), within which she investigated the relationship between VR, AR, and different concepts of “virtual spaces.” In 2019, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio, supported by a Swiss National Science Foundation Excellence Fellowship. From 2016 to 2020, she served as an adjunct lecturer in Aesthetics at the Politecnico di Milano. She is the author of La percezione armata: esperienza estetica e immaginazione in Mikel Dufrenne (Mimesis, 2018) and Spazi virtuali. Esplorazioni estetiche tra ambienti elettronici e immersivi (ETS, 2024). She also edited Corpo, spazio, architettura. Fenomenologia dell’esperienza spaziale (with M. Vegetti, Morcelliana, 2024) and Real Space–Virtual Space. Aesthetics, Architecture, and Immersive Environments (with R. P. Malaspina, MUP, 2025).
